I am a graduate from Texas State University where I received both my BFA & MA in Theater with an emphasis in costume design.  I worked as a costume designer for a few years before returning to TSU to earn my teaching certificate in Theater.  I worked as a theater director in San Antonio for a total of ten years at Luther Burbank & Theodore Roosevelt High School.  In 2009, my family and I moved to Temple, Texas where I instructed theatre at Lamar Middle School.
My husband is my biggest fan and my best friend.  We have two wonderful kids, Maddy & Chris who are persuing their own interests in the arts.
I enjoy gardening, cooking, reading, movies, sewing, and playwriting. Theater has always appealed to me because of the variety of experiences available in the art form itself:  Acting, scenic construction, theater make-up, costuming, playwriting, lighting, sound, publicity, stage management, & house management.  Ultimately, teaching theater is important to me because of the collaborative nature of the art form. This will be my sixth year at Academy High School and I look forward to each day of instruction.
